notes for future camping trips
Don't even bother with gluten free marshmallows, bring brownies instead.
Flip flops in the shower are a must.
If your really looking to get away from it all, midweek camping rocks.
Squirrels will eat tulips. They don't care what you say.
Check out a library book about the constellations.
Pack lightly.
Reserve a campsite with good hammock trees.
Always bring scrabble.
Learn to use your DSLR already, so you don't miss those bluebird shots the next time.
Savor it all.

Shower shoes are a must! Beautiful photos here and on FB..looks like you both had a dreamy get away. :)

There is so much loveliness in your camping.
Gluten-free marshmallows?! I am intrigued. I actually thought that marshmallows were gluten-free (I imagine them to be pure sugar).
Flip flops are a must, as is scrabble. :)
I also bring: a little bag with some light embroidery to play with, a polaroid camera, and at least 3 books of choice.
I can barely wait to go camping soon! We have been skirting the topic. 36* at night still but I think we could do it...
Stephanie: Thank you :)
Martha and Elizabeth: I should have specified! The marshmallows were gluten free AND vegetarian. Most are made with gelatin (not vegetarian) and some are not gluten free. Given our poor results, apparently either the gluten or gelatin is needed to ensure proper s'more meltage.
Brooke: I'm excited for you to go camping soon!
good advice... and may i just say "yum" to your adorable bedding...
